Matthew Sargent is a fifth generation native Santa Fean. A portion of his family history includes both great-grandfathers having been mayors of Santa Fe as well as an aunt who was the first female Appellate Court judge in New Mexico. Having arrived in New Mexico in the 1850’s the Sargent family had diverse interests from ranching in Northern New Mexico to hotel proprietorship in Santa Fe. Matthew descends from a long line of real estate professionals including his father Wally Sargent, who founded a full-service real estate brokerage in Santa Fe. Matthew’s strong work ethic, his professionalism, enthusiasm, and experience with Santa Fe real estate are strengths that have set him apart and made him a top-producing broker, year after year.

Matthew completed his bachelor’s degree and graduated Suma Cum Laude from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. He soon returned to Santa Fe where he decided to follow the success of his family in the real estate industry. He has in-depth knowledge of Santa Fe and its unique marketplace and is highly skilled with assisting those wanting to acquire and sell remarkable properties in Santa Fe.

Matthew has been a high producing, award-winning broker since he first started his real estate career in 1998. He has brokered hundreds of sales transactions, and he takes pride in artfully uniting great people with great properties. He specializes in the high-end market of the Eastside Historic Districts, Northeast Hills, Tesuque, and Monte Sereno. He is delighted to work with buyers and sellers in all price ranges, throughout the Santa Fe market.
